If you’re looking to stretch your dollar there are plenty of budget friendly options that have quick and easy access to Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre. The conference venue is located directly above Esplanade MRT station and a short 5 minute walk from Promenade MRT Station from which the below areas are only a few stations or short walk away.

We would suggest checking online booking sites such as Agoda and Booking.com for accommodation in the following areas (a quick check in June ’24 found plenty of accommodation options between USD25-80 per night):

Bugis: Beach Road is a 5-10 minute walk to Suntec and has a variety of accommodation options available. If you stay closer to Bugis MRT you are only 1 train station away (2 mins ride) from Promenade MRT. If you stay closer to the Bras Basah MRT station you will be one stop (2 mins ride) from the Esplanade MRT station.

Little India/Rochor: The colourful Little India neighbourhood is home to many budget friendly accommodation options between Rochor MRT & Little India MRT stations. A train ride from here will take you less than 10 minutes to reach Promenade MRT.

Chinatown: Home to several craft beer venues such as the famous Smith Street Taps, Lion Brewery, SG Taps, The Guild and Heart of Darkness taprooms, Chinatown is a lively heritage area with lots going on – specially late night food! Promenade MRT station is only a 20 minute train ride or 10 minute taxi from the heart of Chinatown.

Eating out

Singapore Chicken Rice.jpg

Welcome to Singapore. A vibrant culinary paradise where you can savour diverse flavours from Chinese, to Malay, Indian and Peranakan without breaking the bank! As you attend Brew Asia we encourage you to explore the economical dining options that make this city a food lover's haven.

First on your list should be the iconic hawker centres. Found in all housing areas these bustling hubs are where locals and tourists alike indulge in affordable, authentic local dishes such as the famous Hainanese Chicken Rice, Bak Kut The (herbal pork rib soup), Prawn Laksa (curry noodles) or Nasi Lemak (coconut rice) for just a few Singapore dollars (USD3.00-5.00, depending on where you’re eating).

Foodcourts, found in shopping malls across the city, offer a similar variety and convenience. These venues provide air-conditioned comfort, perfect for escaping the tropical heat while you dine.

If you’re planning to splash out or treat your team while you’re in town, there are no shortage of fantastic eateries in Singapore covering all nationalities from Korean to Middle Eastern, Japanese to Australian. One dish you shouldn’t miss, however, is the iconic Singapore Chili Crab – and remember to order an extra serving of Mantou (fried bread buns) to soak up all the delicious sauce!
